Tarnim is an experienced registered psychologist who has worked in Australia and overseas for the last 8 years. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Tarnim has had experience in delivering a range of clinical interventions to clients and their families. Her experience has included providing individual and group interventions for adults with a range of presenting issues such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, trauma related issues or disorders, drugs and alcohol misuse and addiction, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, domestic violence, parenting issues, career and study planning difficulties, and work related difficulties.
Tarnim uses a range of cognitive behavioural techniques specifically tailored to individuals. These techniques include psycho education, motivational interviewing, behavioural modification, exposure techniques, cognitive interventions,mindfulness strategies, relaxation strategies, problem-solving skills training, anger management, assertiveness training, communication training, social skills training, stress management, time management, and goal setting.
